How were the indigenous peoples marginalized in history?

We conclude our season on contested histories by shining a light on another underrepresented sector in Philippine history: the indigenous peoples. We travel through hundreds of years of resistance against colonization, maintaining indigenous cultures, and the struggle of the IPs for their rights and their welfare in Philippine society. The IP story is that of marginalization and oppression. What can we do to change this?
